Burnsville Recreation & Learning Center will honor our faithful volunteers. The appreciation will take place Saturday, November 16th at 1:00 P.M. All volunteers and family members along with supporters are encouraged to come.
Volunteers please bring one gift from home. The gift will be used for Door Prizes/BINGO prizes. The community and general public is invited to come and verbally say Thanks to the volunteers. Shelia Raye from the Therapeutic Alternative Team will assist with the event.

A light dinner will be served beginning at 6:00 P.M. This will be a great time to give thanks for the role they each serve in. Those of you that may have concerns and would like to address them please come.
There will be a time for questions.

Will once again its time to celebrate the Annual Thanksgiving Baskets Celebration.This annual event starts at 5:00 P.M. with supper and then the program at 6:00 P.M. This is an opportunity for the community of neighbors, local churches, schools, or individuals families to provide food filled baskets to the families that may not have a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner. Each basket will consist of the traditional turkey or ham and all of the fixings. BRLC organization with the help of each of you continues to make life better for families in Anson County. Without the support of you this outreach could NOT survive.

Distribution will start at 1:00 pm USDA CHANGES: Not only Anson County neighbors but as of November 1st Stanly and Union Counties Neighbors will be able to take advantage of this food program. FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. TEFAP Registration will take place at the Burnsville Fire Dept. look for signs. All forms must be completed by neighbors before service is rendered. BRLC ask that you DO NOT bring children. We DO NOT discriminate for any reason.
